Meet Our Founder and President
Maxime is the President of LeadingAhead Energy.
A graduate of Ottawa University and BCIT’s Sustainable Business program, Maxime founded LeadingAhead Energy in 2017 when electric cars were a rarity. Since then, he’s grown LAE to twelve employees all without any outside investment. His success running LAE and expansion into the United States led him to recently be named one of Business in Vancouver’s 40 Under 40.
An impassioned sustainability expert, Maxime is an experienced public speaker. In the spring of 2024, Maxime was invited to speak at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)’s E-Mobility Roundtable with key government and multinational stakeholders. In late 2023, Maxime participated in the inaugural Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum at the United Nations Climate Conference in Dubai. During the pandemic, Max was invited to speak in front of the House of Commons regarding the carbon credit programs in Canada.
Maxime has also been a guest on the podcasts Vancouver Commercial Real Estate, Change Anxiety and Plugged-In, and he is a contributor for the magazine and online publication, Electric Autonomy. In addition, Max has also been a speaker at the annual Electric Mobility Canada conference, the Bellevue Rotary Club, the Fully-Charged LIVE conference, the Energy Disruptors Conference, the Canada Parking Association Conference & Trade show and the BUILDEX Vancouver conference.
In his personal time, Maxime enjoys spending his time in the mountains of British Columbia, trail running, road biking, training for Iron Man competitions, skiing and golfing.
